Son Forca Refuge in winter is a privileged refreshment point for skiers who frequent the Faloria-Cristallo Ski Area.
Skiing in the Faloria-Cristallo Ski Area is always an exciting and rewarding experience. With its 20 km of perfectly groomed and snow-covered slopes, it is one of the most popular ski areas in the Dolomites thanks to the panoramas it offers as well as the extended opening of its lifts which allow you to ski from November to May.

From the center of Cortina d'Ampezzo, it is possible to reach the area with the Faloria cable car, which takes you in few minutes from the town to 2134 meters above sea level on Mount Faloria. To reach Mount Cristallo, ski down the slopes to Rio Gere and take the chairlift to Son Forca. Alternatively, arrive at Rio Gere directly by car and take the lift to the Mount Cristallo ski area.
Once you reach Son Forca, you can ski along the sunny slopes of medium difficulty that descend again towards Rio Gere or towards the slopes of Val Padeon served by a quadruple chairlift a few meters from our Refuge, where you can stop for a break or for lunch.
For lovers of ski mountaineering and steep skiing, the Cristallo Group offers many demanding itineraries, such as the Creste Bianche, Staunies Nord or the Cristallo canals.
